9th International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Youth Championships

    SKNAAA, 14th July, 2015  --  A team of five (5) athletes and two (2) officials departed the Federation on Monday 13th July, 2015 for Cali, Colombia, to participate in the 9th IAAF World Youth Championships.  

     

    The delegation comprised of:

    Female Athletes                      Event(s)                                     Male Athletes                           Event(s)

     

    Keishonna Brookes     -           100mH                                        Wayne Griffin              -           100m & 200m

     

    Hannah Mills              -           200m                                           Aljani Bridgweater      -           110mH

     

                                                                                                   Jermaine Francis        -           High Jump

     

    Officials:

     

    Grace Maritza Dias    -           Team Leader

     

    Donnell Esdaille          -           Head Coach 

    Selection to the National Representative Team required that all athletes attained the requisite international qualifying standards set by IAAF and participate in the SKNAAA’s National Youth, Junior and Senior Championships. These elite youth athletes are also listed for possible selection to the St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee’s (SKNOC) Commonwealth Youth Games Team.

    The Executive of the SKNAAA extends best wishes to the team and would like to take the opportunity to express sincere thanks and appreciation to the St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC) for making the Team’s participation possible.

    The IAAF World Youth Championships are held biannually and caters to athletes aged 16 and 17 years.
