Friday, August 7, 2015 – Fifteen year-old Jeron Smith has a goal to play tennis on the professional circuit and with the support of NAGICO Insurances he is well on his way to achieving his dream of placing the BVI on the world tennis map.

Jeron recently received a donation from NAGICO Insurances which offset the expenses for his attendance at the Eric Kantor Tennis Academy in Coconut Creek, Florida from July 7th to 17th.

Upon his return, Jeron stopped by the NAGICO Insurances Road Town Office along Waterfront Drive to convey his appreciation for the support he received.

"I want to really thank NAGICO for all the assistance they have given to me. They really do good work in the community and are always willing to help. The camp was good for me as it helped me to improve my service game and ground strokes. This will help me reach my goal of playing in college and then internationally," Jeron said.

His determination must be commended as he personally reached out to NAGICO Insurances, stating that he has seen a marked improvement in all aspects of his game since attending the Miami camp in two previous years.

Customer Service Representative, Ms. Shaquilla Smith said NAGICO Insurances is pleased to be helping Jeron and other youth in the Virgin Islands achieve their goals.

"When Jeron reached out to us we did not hesitate to offer assistance. A few years ago he took the court with our Compliance Officer, Sarah Hatcher for a mixed doubles corporate tournament. We love his drive and commitment to the sport and we wish him well. This is yet another example that NAGICO is committed to ensuring that the future leaders of the Territory achieve their full potential," Ms. Smith stated.

NAGICO Insurances is devoted to seeing youth develop in sport and is currently assisting several athletes locally including, Joe Chapman, the Caribbean's top ranked squash player and middle-distance runner, Ruben Stoby. Additionally, the company is a major sponsor for the Hon. Julian Fraser Save The Seed Basketball Tournament and has been supporting cricket for several years in the Virgin Islands.

In partnership with NAGICO Insurances, Century Insurance Agency provides insurance products that offer quality protection, with competitive pricing, serviced by staff that understand and meet the client’s individual insurance needs.

NAGICO Insurances, with headquarters in St. Maarten, started operations in the BVI in 1992 and is the largest underwriter of personal and commercial insurance in the BVI market. The company now operates in over 19 territories and continues to grow.
