BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A man, who is believed to be a non-national, had reportedly died today (Aug. 18) while swimming and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
The man, according to Acting Commissioner of Police Stafford Liburd, “died while swimming” at Banana Bay this morning.
Information is sketchy at this time, however, Liburd indicated that the individual was scheduled to leave the island on Saturday (Aug. 22).
He said the man is either in his 50s or 60s and an autopsy is scheduled to be conducted tomorrow, from which the exact cause of death would be determined.
