Philadelphia Brunch, an early start to 2016 for Team Jamaica Bickle

Press Release

New York/10.7.2015/CMM…. Team Jamaica Bickle (Philadelphia Chapter) will hold its annual Island Brunch on Sunday, October 11, 2015 (11:00am-4:00pm) at Calabash Banquet Hall, 6208 Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

It’s all part of a steady buildup to 2016, as the organization rolls out events to kick-start its fundraising schedule in preparation for what will be a banner year with the Olympic Games, Rio 2016 looming.

“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy a full Caribbean Brunch. We will have a menu of every variety to satisfy your Jamaican, (wider) Caribbean and American palates,” said Vincent Heath, event coordinator.

The early move on fundraising is also a strategic one as the outfit prepares to underwrite mounting requests for financial support from schools attending the Penn Relays. TJB hosts over 600 athletes, coaches and support staff from Jamaica, other Caribbean countries and the United States at the Penn Relays, ensuring that are covered with meals, transportation, accommodation and chiropractic care.

“The early start to our fundraising efforts highlights the financial challenges we face but is equally important in creating awareness of the enormity of 2016—an Olympic year. We are committed to the task and will endeavor to engage the community for support, on behalf of our athletes and ambassadors “said Irwine Clare, Snr., CEO/Founder.

Residents of Philadelphia and its environs are being encouraged to come to support what promises to be a palate-pleasing fare. For more information please call 215.879.1360. Contribution is $30.00.
