Sugar City Toastmasters Club Hosts its First Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest

    Bird Rock, St. Kitts - The Sugar City Toastmasters Club successfully pulled off its first Annual Humorous and Evaluation Speech contest on 19 September, 2015. Members of the Club and invited guests showed up in their national colors in support of the contestants. Congratulations are extended to TM Ian Branford, winner of the Humorous Speech Contest and TM Trellor Fraites, of the Evaluation Speech Contest. The runner ups were TM Leslie Broadbelt 2nd place and Nadia St. Catherine 3rd place of the Humorous Speech Contest while TM Zeva Alcendor and TM Shamara Welcome filled the 2nd and 3rd positions of the Evaluation Speech Contest respectively.  

     

    This month, October Sugar City Toastmasters is celebrating International month as members of the club hail from various islands in the Caribbean.  Also, as it is Breast Awareness Month, our next meeting which is scheduled to be held on this Saturday 17th October, 2015 is themed “Wear Pink Evening.”  In addition to the aforementioned, in November the Sugar City Toastmasters Club would be celebrating with Toastmasters International, its 90th anniversary. Therefore, one of our meetings in November would be themed, “the 90’s”.     Visit Sugar City Toastmasters Club. Our club is the first community-based Toastmasters Club in St. Kitts which provides a supportive learning experience and enhances public speaking and leadership skills. The club meets every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at 6:45pm-8:30pm at the Customs and Excise department, Bird Rock, St. Kitts.  See you there!
