BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have confirmed that a shooting incident took place in Nevis this morning (Nov. 23) and a man, believed to be in his early 50s was killed in the process.
SKNVibes spoke with Communications Director of the Police Force Grell Browne, who affirmed that the incident occurred sometime after 8:00 a.m. and indicated that he was not in a position to offer any further information.
This publication however received some information which suggested that the incident occurred either on a near a construction site on which the deceased may have worked.
SKNVibes also learned that the victim's name is Laughton 'Two Cock' Mills of Bricklyn Village.
Mills' death registers Nevis’ eighth murder and ninth homicide and the Federation 25th murder and the 26th homicide for the year.
Browne promised that a press release would be issued concerning the incident, although he failed to indicate when it would be disseminated.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing and persons having information about it are asked to contact the nearest police station or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS).
