Police Press Release 29-11-2015: Dieppe Bay Police Station host family movie night

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, November, 29, 2015 (RSCNPF):  On Friday evening, (November 27), Officers and staff of the Dieppe Bay Police Station hosted the students of the Dieppe Bay and Saddlers Primary Schools and their parents to a night of fun and entertainment at the Dieppe Police Station. 

     

    The night included the showing of a popular children's movie and a quiz competition between both schools where the children were asked questions about the Police and the Police Division where the schools are located. The students were rewarded with gift vouchers from the business community for correctly answering the questions.  

    The highlight of the evening was the presentation of an Alcatel Tablet compliments FLOW, to Stiviesia Dorset, a grade 6 student of the Dieppe Bay Primary School, for correctly listing six crime fight initiatives of the Police Force.  

    The night ended with music and light refreshments.  

    This was a community outreach initiative by the Dieppe Bay Police Station, designed to foster a closer relationship between the Police and the community in particular our youths.  

    Divisional Commander for the area, Supt. Cromwell Henry praised the officers of the Dieppe Bay Police Station for their efforts and challenged the other Police Districts to execute similar community activities, "because it is only through strong community bonds can the Police be successful  in fighting  crime and criminal behavior," said the Divisional Commander.  

    Commissioner of Police(Ag) Stafford Liburd, thanked the Officers of the Dieppe Bay Police Station for embarking on this initiative.  He said, "this is bringing to life, one element of our 'Six Point Plan', the officers in Dieppe Bay are doing their part, towards building a stronger relationship with the community they serve.
