BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE on Nevis have yet to crack the homicide case in which a man was gunned down in cold blood on the morning of November 23rd while on a construction site where he worked. But a senior police officer has indicated that a person of interest has been questioned in relation to the incident.

Laughton ‘Two Cock’ Mills of Bricklyn Village was reportedly at work in the Butlers area when he was robbed, shot and killed by an assailant(s).

In an interview on Friday (Nov. 27) with the media, Acting Commissioner of Police Stafford Liburd indicated that he is aware that one “person of interest” had been questioned about the incident but no arrest was made and no charges have been laid.

The man, who was said to be in his 50s, is Nevis’ ninth homicide and the Federation’s 26th.

This media house is not certain if an autopsy was performed on Mills’ remains and if it has, the results have yet to be made public.

Those who would have any information which could assist the police in solving this and other crimes are asked to contact the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS).
