BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – INITIAL reports reaching SKNVibes suggested that a young man had died after he was shot last night (Jan. 24) in Lime Kiln, but thankfully he has survived.

The incident, according to well-placed sources, occurred at about 10:00 p.m. and SKNVibes understands that the young man, who is said to be in his late teens, was leaving his father’s home for his mother’s when an assailant approached and opened fire on him.

He was struck multiple times and was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.

This shooting is the second such reported for yesterday, the first of which occurred at about 1:15 p.m. at Upper Thibou Avenue which resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to two others.

Yesterday’s first incident marks the second murder to have taken place in the Federation for the year.
