Prime Minister Harris meets with top management of Christophe Harbour

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 11, 2016 (SKNIS)—Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, met with Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Christophe Harbour, Charles P. “Buddy” Darby III, and Steve Heyboer, Chief Operating Officer of Christophe Harbour, at Government Headquarters on February 10.  

     

    The prime minister, who was joined by Attorney General Honourable Vincent Byron Jr. and Cabinet Secretary Josephine Huggins, reaffirmed the country’s interest in having a win-win situation at Christophe Harbour that would redound to the benefit of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis in job opportunities, community sponsorships, training and other deliverables. 

    While updating on the progress at Christophe Harbour, Mr. Darby said that as more facilities are built, more opportunities will be opened up to locals for employment. 

    Christopher Harbour is a 2,500 acres luxury residential resort development on the South-East Peninsula in St. Kitts. It consists of a completed Customs House, Superyacht Marina, Pavilion Beach Club and SALT Plage Restaurant. There are plans do develop a Marina Village; a soon to be completed 126 room and suite Park Hyatt 5 star luxury hotel is promised to be opened later this year and there is a proposal to build an 18-hole Tom Fazio Golf Course. There are also opportunities for real estate development.
