Bigger, better and more exciting St. Kitts-Nevis National Basketball League tips off this Sunday

    March 31st, 2016 -- The official start of the SKNABA National Basketball League is now just days away. The much anticipated official start  of the Bigger, Better and More Exciting 2016 SKNABA Season takes place this coming Saturday April  3rd  at Basketball City. 

     

    The annual national tournament will tip off with a brief Opening Ceremony and traditional March Pass featuring the 24 Clubs and Teams participating in this year’s Annual Tournament.

    Deputy Prime  Minister and Minister of Sports the Hon. Shawn .K. Richards  is expected to officially declare the 2016 Season Open.

    The League’s first official games will start on Sunday with two marquis match-ups.  The First Official “A” DIVISION game of the season will take place and will feature am ALL Sandy Point Clash when the Sandy Point Pride takes on the Sandy Point Falcons. The Sandy Point Pride is one of the new teams taking part in this years season.  The Second Game of the Opening Night will feature a rematch of the 2015 Finals as Defending Champions St.Pauls Tuff Knots come up against their 2015 finals rivals the RAMS Hitters .

    According to officials of the SKNABA this years league promises to be Bigger, Better and More  Exciting than before. 

    “The association has attracted support from a number of Corporate Entities and will make an official announcement regarding that support. The injection of this support will ensure a Bigger, Better and More Exciting SKNABA Basketball league 2016,” the official stated. 

    The Official Opening Ceremony and March Pass begins at 4pm and the Opening Day Matches begins at 6:30pm. Admission for the Opening is $5
