Get Ready to Experience the Olympic Games Like Never Before With Flow

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (April 27, 2016) –  On April 27th, Flow joins International Olympic Committee (IOC) partners all over the world in celebration of the official 100day countdown to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

To mark the occasion, Flow, the region’s only multi-platform Rio 2016 Olympic Games broadcast partner officially announced that it will be broadcasting the Games in HD across the region on Flow Sports, as well as on up to three additional HD channels. Flow will also be delivering the Games via the innovative Flow Rio 2016 Extra app, giving customers access to every Olympic event at their fingertips, and “on the go”, a first for the Caribbean region.

“As we join the rest of the world in celebrating the 100-day countdown to one of the biggest sporting events in the world, we are indeed excited at the prospect of delivering the highest quality HD broadcast across multiple platforms, enabling customers to view the games not only on TV but on their mobile devices,” said John Reid, President of Flow.

Flow will offer viewers the widest range of Olympic programming, available through Flow Sports and other dedicated TV channels, giving customers over 2000 hours of live sporting action, more than any other broadcaster in the region.

Flow has also inked regional endorsements with several Caribbean athletes. Some of those athletes will be featured in Flow’s Olympics Campaign, including Olympic Gold medalist Kirani James (Grenada); athletic hopefuls Khalifa St Fort (Trinidad and Tobago); Delano Williams (Turks and Caicos); star hurdler Jaheel Hyde (Jamaica) and 2015 Pan Am Games gold medalist, high-jumper, Levern Spencer (St. Lucia).

On April 22nd Flow launched a regional “text-to-win” competition, which will give customers from across the region the chance to win the “Ultimate Rio 2016 Olympic Games Tour.”  Four lucky winners will be recipients of the Gold Tour Package, which includes tickets for two to the coveted men’s and women's 100 metre finals, the two football semi-finals, and beach volleyball matches. The winners will also be treated to guided tours of Rio de Janiero, as well as a grand farewell dinner.

“We wanted to make this the best possible Olympic Games experience for our customers,” said Reid. “We will give them an opportunity to participate in the excitement leading up to the games, and provide several lucky customers a chance to win the trip of a lifetime. These competitions, on top of our best-in-class, around-theclock HD coverage of the Games, are sure to make these Olympic Games the most pleasurable and memorable experience yet for sports fans around the region.”
