BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE lifeless body of an elderly man was discovered at Pump Bay, Sandy Point sometime this afternoon (Apr. 26) and investigations are being made into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Commander for the area (District B) Superintendent Lionel Moore told SKNVibes that according to information given to him, the body was discovered sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and it is that of George Francis of Fig Tree. He said the deceased was somewhere between the ages of 60 and 80 years old.

He said only two weeks ago, Francis “walked away” from his home, was subsequently discovered and taken to the hospital as he was suffering from dehydration.

The Supt. explained that Francis was reported missing today and his body was subsequently found at Pump Bay.

Superintendent Moore said he is not certain about the cause of death and explained that that would have to be determined after an autopsy is conducted.
