Man found at Pump Bay died of natural causes

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE elderly man whose body was found at Pump Bay yesterday afternoon (Apr. 26) died of natural causes, a report received by this publication suggested.

The man, whom SKNVibes understands is George Francis of Fig Tree, was found in the area after being reported missing sometime earlier.

Superintendent Lionel Moore, Commander of District ‘B’, indicated to SKNVibes that about two weeks ago Francis had “walked away” from his home and was subsequently found and taken to the hospital to be treated for dehydration.

Moore also indicated that he could not declare the cause of death because an autopsy had not yet been done.

However, today, he informed this publication that Francis, 89, was pronounced dead on the scene and the attending physician declared that he died of “natural causes”.

He also said Francis’ remains have since been turned over to his family.
