Basseterre, St. Kitts (May 6, 2016) – The grand finals of Digicel Play’s ‘March Madness Promotion’ took place on the island on Nevis on Friday, April 29, 2016 amass a small crowd inside the Digicel Store in Charlestown.
During the month of March, scores of Nevisians signed up for Digicel Play’s Broadband Internet and digital Cable Television services to experience extraordinary home entertainment and for the added bonus of a chance to win $1000 cash, Samsung Tablets, a Digicel Smartphone or a Smart TV. Once the names and contact numbers were deposited into the drop box at the Digicel Store, the grand finalists were randomly selected.
Digicel’s Marketing Manager, Marsha Chatterjee congratulated the finalists who stood anxiously to select a prize which was printed on folded sheets of paper. Based on alphabetical order, Poloma Nisbett, Reyna Tavarez, Sharon Warde and Latifah Warner, one by one, revealed to the audience and to the local media, their reward of a smart device.
Rounds of applause echoed in the Store after each contestant was handed their well-deserved gift, courtesy of Digicel Play. The youngest contestant, Latifah Warner, displayed a broad smile when she recognized she won the 40” Samsung Smart TV. Latifah’s family members were present in the audience to cheer her on and seemed to be in awe of her amazing luck.
The remaining contestants also won smart devices. Sharon Warde represented by Ken Freeman won a Digicel Smartphone and free data. Poloma Nisbett walked away with a Samsung Galaxy Tablet while Lisbeth, who represented her mother Reyna Tavarez, also claimed a Samsung Wi-Fi Tab 2.
Congratulations are also in order for Dahlia Joseph-Rowe who won $1,000 relating to the same ‘March Madness Promotion.’ This cash prize was announced earlier, live on Choice FM Radio during the month of April. Dahlia qualified for the Digicel Play campaign by adding an additional internet line for her business place on Main Street in Nevis.
