BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – LITTLE more than 12 hours after the shooting death of a Stapleton Village resident, shots rang out in the Cayon area leaving one man nursing a gunshot wound to his hand.

The incident occurred late this morning (May 19) and information received by SKNVibes suggests that the victim, who is said to be ‘Jahbal’ Henry of Upper Cayon, was walking towards Water Works Cayon when more than one individual opened fire on him.

He was reportedly struck in one of his hands and having taken evasive action by fleeing, he was able to avoid further injury.

This publication understands that Henry was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital via police vehicle and is being treated for his injury.

Last evening’s incident resulted the death of 29-year-old Antonio Richardson. The door to his home was found damaged and when the police entered, they found him lifeless with a gunshot wound to his head.

His death brings the Federation’s homicide rate for the year to 12.
