BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FOLLOWING this evening’s (May 20) shooting incident in Saddler’s Village, report reaching this media house that two young men succumbed to their injuries and three others are hospitalised.
The two deceased men’s names were given as Uriel Keron Michael (23) and Willis Phillip (22), both of Saddler’s Village.
Information on their demise is sketchy, but reports reaching SKNVibes suggest that the five men were among a larger group in the vicinity of a shop in Saddler’s Village when a number of gunmen approached and fired shots in their direction.
It was learnt that they were rushed to the JNF General Hospital where the two men were pronounced dead.
This media house also learnt that one of the three survivors was grazed by a bullet while the others were seriously wounded. However, the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

This is the third shooting incident to have occurred in St. Kitts within three days.
The first was on Wednesday night (May 18) which resulted in the death of 29-year-old Antonio Richardson who was shot execution-style to the forehead in his Stapleton Village home.
On the following day, 32-year-old Jahbal David Henry of Upper Cayon was shot to his right hand while walking in the company of a female in the vicinity of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cayon.
Uriel Keron Michael and Willis Phillip’s death have taken to 14 the number of homicides recorded for the year in the twin-island Federation; 11 in St. Kitts and three in Nevis.
