Basseterre, St Kitts - The federation of St Kitts and Nevis will be among other countries at another international pageant this coming summer. This time the contestant will not have to travel too far as the newly created pageant will be held in neighbouring Antigua and Barbuda.
The Miss Regal International pageant which is the brainchild of renowned fashion designer, model agent and pageant manager Calvin Southwell promises to bring up to 50 beauties on one stage.
Miss Vashina Bolus, 22, is the federation’s first representative and will be wearing the Miss Regal International St Kitts and Nevis sash at the pageant. Bolus recently participated in the 2016 Miss Flow Black San’ Swimwear pageant; where she was awarded the second runner-up position.
Miss Bolus and the other beauties will call Antigua and Barbuda home for 27 days; the main pageant will be held on 13th August. Some of the other confirmed participating countries are Russia, Thailand, New Zealand, South Africa, South Sudan, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Bahamas and Namibia. Contestants will be competing in other small competitions and pre shows leading up to the night. These include— "Think Pink" party, National Costume and Talent competition, Designer Fashion Show, and the Preliminary/Pitch Show. Plans are also being made for the beauties to have the opportunity to experience Antigua's 60th Carnival while playing Mas with Beautiful People Mas Band.
National Pageant Director, Miss Treasa Wyatt and Assistant Director, Jackiema Flemming explained that they are excited that an international pageant is coming to the Caribbean and St Kitts and Nevis will be there. Wyatt said that Miss Bolus has been training every day with the assistance of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2016.
“I am happy to once again take St. Kitts and Nevis to another international pageant and to also provide an avenue for pageant lovers to excel on the international stage. I believe that Miss Bolus will represent the federation well.” said National Director Wyatt.
Miss Regal International St Kitts and Nevis Vashina Bolus will leave the federation for Antigua and Barbuda on July 18, 2016.
