June 1, 2016 ~ The Royal Beach Casino is once again demonstrating its commitment to its staff and their continued development and professional growth with the commissioning of a newly restructured Human Resource Department. The Department has been transformed from a two-person unit to a team of trained personnel, with a new mandate. This change is in keeping with the Company’s vision of being the leading entertainment destination in St. Kitts by fostering employee growth.
As part of its transformation, the Department was relocated to a more spacious area, better equipped to serve the needs of the staff across all areas of the Royal Group of Companies in a more comfortable and welcoming environment. Additional support was also provided to the Department with the addition of 2 new persons to the team.
Over the past years, Royal Beach Casino has evolved to include more local talents at top management and executive positions in keeping with its desire to utilize talent from the local pool. Recently, Mrs. Jawole Davis was promoted to the position of Director of Human Resources, charged with implementing the new vision and creating a system to deal with staff’s personal and professional development, improving work quality and employee happiness. The new Human Resource Department now has 4 staff capable of meeting this challenge.
The office space now includes a meeting room, a training room, and a waiting/sitting area, among other amenities. The Royal Beach Casino takes its responsibility to its staff seriously and encourage them to use the facilities provided for their benefit. The Royal Group of Companies includes Royal Construction, Angelus, Mechanic and Royal Utilities.
The new office space was opened by Mr. Arun Maharajh, Vice President of Operations, who congratulated the new team on this successful journey. Members of staff witnessed the commissioning of the new office facility and joined in congratulating the Department on this bold step forward.
