Trinbago Knight Riders' Cooper & Borde braced for CPL title defence

    CPL, June 14th, 2016 -- Ahead of the start of their Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title defence, Trinbago Knight Riders all-rounder Kevon Cooper and Team Manager Colin Borde addressed the media at Queen’s Park Oval on Tuesday as preparations gather pace across the region for the return of CPL.
     
    Cooper, who played 12 times in last year’s successful campaign and has 30 career CPL appearances under his belt to date, spoke about his delight at TKR’s recruitment of New Zealand marquee batsman Brendon McCullum, Proteas star Hashim Amla and the returning Sunil Narine for the campaign which launches with the opening game of the tournament on 29 June against St. Lucia Zouks at Queen’s Park Oval. 
     
    Meanwhile, Borde spoke about how his side’s plans are coming along as excitement builds across Trinidad & Tobago for the resumption of the biggest party in sport, including the exciting move to Central Broward Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
     
    Tickets for all CPL matches across the Caribbean and in Florida are on sale from www.cplt20.com.
     
    Located at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, the Ticket Office is open for business from Monday to Saturday during normal working hours (9am-5pm) to enable supporters to buy their tickets in advance for the biggest party in sport this summer.
     
    In addition, the TTCB Office at Couva are also selling tickets from 9am-4pm (Monday-Saturday).
     
    Trinbago Knight Riders Home Fixtures (all times local): 29 June – St. Lucia Zouks (9pm), 1 July – Barbados Tridents (9pm), 2 July – Guyana Amazon Warriors (9pm), 4 July – Jamaica Tallawahs (7pm).
