By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO females were taken to the hospital early this morning (Jun. 25) having been involved in a two-vehicle accident in the Frigate Bay area.

The incident reportedly occurred sometime after 4:00 a.m. and involved taxi bus TA273 and motorcar PA2116.

SKNVibes understands that both vehicles were travelling along the Frigate Bay main road and collided at the junction which one can take in order to access the Frigate Bay Strip. It occurred in the vicinity of Bobsy’s Super Wings.

Reportedly, TA273 was travelling towards Basseterre’s direction and PA2116 in the opposite at the time of the incident. The motorcar reportedly made an attempt to enter the road which leads to the Frigate Bay Strip and that is when both vehicles collided.

SKNVIbes is not certain of how many individuals were in the car of whether or not there were passengers within the bus.

However, two individuals, one complaining for either a dislocated or broken leg, were taken from the car and transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.

The front bumper of PA2116 was torn off as a result of the incident and the front right side of the vehicle was damaged, while the front end of the taxi was also considerably damaged.

    Investigations are being made.
