FLOW St. Kitts & Nevis “Shine the Blue Light”

By: FLOW, Press Release

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts & Nevis (July 01, 2016) – Local telecommunications provider FLOW launches its “Shine the Blue Light” campaign.

In recognition of the many meaningful contributions made by both individuals, community groups and clubs to the betterment of our local society, FLOW has launched a crusade to not only assist but also give credit where credit is due to these groups and individuals.

General Manager of FLOW St. Kitts & Nevis, Mr. David Lake stated, “In launching our Shine the Blue Light initiative we are seeking to recognise the great work that many individuals and local groups are doing to improve our communities and develop our people. We are also committed to assisting wherever and whenever we can these endeavours to succeed”.

In kicking off this new social recognition programme, FLOW made a recent donation to the J. N. France General Hospital Concert Fund-raising Committee. Over the past four years the committee has successfully raised funds to assist with ward painting, equipment upgrades and various other improvement projects at the surgical ward. During that period FLOW has contributed in cash and in kind to the success of the annual concerts.

This year a donation of $5000 was made to Dr Cameron Wilkinson, Chief Surgeon and Medical Chief of Staff at the Joseph N. France General Hospital. These funds will be used to outfit the recovery room with monitors and help with purchasing defibrillators for the operating theatre and emergency room.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the JNF Hospital, Dr Wilkinson expressed profound gratitude to Flow for the support, indicating that the doctors and medical staff at the Hospital were always grateful for assistance to improve the quality of healthcare that they provide.

Because of the importance of these and similar initiatives to the well-being of our people, FLOW intends to continue to provide support for and spotlight on the efforts of the many philanthropic individuals, community groups and organizations throughout our Federation, through the Flow “Shine the Blue Light” campaign.
