Body found in Newton Ground

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - JUST hours after rumours of a body being found in or near the C. A. Paul Industrial Site were deemed false, a lifeless body was discovered in the Newton Ground area.

     

    A police press release issued this afternoon (Jul 29) explained that the body was discovered in the Fahie’s Mountain area and although it doesn’t specify when the discovery was made, SKNVibes understands that it took place sometime during the course of today.

     

    While the identity of the individual whose remains these are is yet unknown, the police have indicated that they are those of a male. 

     

    A senior member of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force previously indicated to this publication that a young man identified by the alias ‘Markie’ had been reported missing since earlier in the week.

     

    The police communique indicated that the remains would be examined by a Forensic Pathologist at which time the cause of death would be revealed.

     

    The authorities are making investigations into the incident and individuals having information which would assist are asked to contact either the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS).
