Man charged with attempted murder granted bail

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – CHARGED with offences of attempted murder and shooting with intent, Chad Williams of Central Street has been released from custody on $75,000-bail the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has reported.

     

    The charges – SKNVibes understands – stem from a mid-morning shooting incident which took place on Friday, May 13, 2016.

     

    It was reported that during the incident, three men were seen running along Cayon Street while yelling for help as they were being chased by two gunmen.

     

    It resulted in two men being shot while at the junction of Westbourne Ghaut and Cayon Street. Both were transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital and treated for their injuries.

     

    Sometime thereafter Williams was taken into police custody and according to a press release issued today (Aug. 11), as a condition of his bail, he is to report to the Basseterre Police Station once weekly between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

     

    Also as a condition of his bail, he is to do so sometime during Monday - Friday.
