October 3rd, 2016 -- The Courts/ Unicomer Ltd. Sleep-A-Thon was held on Tuesday 27th September from 9.15am.
The Sleep-A-Thon was an extension of the Bedding Month Promotion which also included giving a percentage of the bedding sales to a charitable organization (Salvation Army) as well as the “Win Mattress full of Cash” offer.
On the day of the Sleep-A-Thon, 8 persons had registered to take part and all participants were asked to follow rules such as: Contestants’ were NOT allowed to leave the bed during the competition for ANY reason; Contestants MUST fall asleep or appear to be a sleep, beginning in a horizontal position, with eyes shut; Participants must dress in pyjamas which were supplied by Courts. In addition, every few minutes there were distractions performed by the Courts team in order to eliminate participants, and as a result by 12pm FIVE 5 participants were already eliminated due to the loud and annoying distractions (baby crying, pouring of water, loud truck sounds, alarm sound etc.); further, by 1pm one of the final two participants succumb to the consistent distractions played via radio and was hence disqualified, leaving Miss. Jacquelin Galloway to take home $1,500.00 in cash. All participants were given their pyjamas to take home and awarded exciting prizes from the Bedding category.
Courts Unicomer (St. Kitts/ Nevis) congratulates Miss. Jacquelin Galloway on her winnings and says a hearty thank you to all other competitors.
