October 24th, 2016 -- The stage is set for the eighth annual Courts St. Kitts and Nevis Schools Reading competition in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
The Highly anticipated competition will see six of the nation’s best readers compete for a chance at being crowned – Courts St. Kitts and Nevis National Reading Champion 2016. The competition which is organized by Courts will be held on Tuesday October 25th at The St. Kitts Marriot from 9 am…

The six participants will be assessed on their ability to ready fluently and accurately. The judges’ will also be required to examine each participant closely, paying attention to enunciation, pronunciation, smoothness, confidence and expression. The winner from the local leg of the competition will get to enjoy fabulous prizes compliments Courts and our valued partners.
At the National Level, The Winner receives $2000 cash plus $2000 cash for his/her school. The 1st runner up walks away with $750 cash and 2nd runner up receives $500 cash. At the National level, all participants will receive participation gifts from Courts and our valued partners.
The Winner will then go on to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at the Regional finals to be held in St. Kitts and Nevis, home of Reigning Regional Champ – Hrishikesh Srinivasan. He/she will compete against winners from Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the opportunity at walking away with an additional $5000 cash plus $5000 for his/her school. Each child at the Regional finals will walk away with a laptop compliments Courts.
