Police Press Release 07-11-2016: Report of arrests, convictions and other activities

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, November, 07 2016, (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period 4-6 November. 

     

    ARREST AND BAIL:    
    Bailed:  Devon Finch of Main Street, Old Road who was charged for the offence of Wounding was granted bail in the sum of $6,000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court 7th November, 2016.  

    OTHER ACTIVITY:
    Search Warrant Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The Warrants were executed in the following areas: Bird Rock, Tabernacle, Fiennes Ave and New Road. 
     
    Larceny From unattended vehicle: Police is investigating a  reported a Larceny from an unattended vehicle. Inquiries revealed that the V/C parked a silver Toyota Belta car in the parking lot at Huggins Auto Supplies & Car Rental leaving it unlocked on November 02, 2016. Upon return at about 8.45am, on November 6,  realized the hood was up and the battery valued $300.00 was missing from the car. The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit. Inquiries are ongoing. 
     
    House Breaking: Police is investigating a report of House Breaking in the New Roads area. The V/C reported that while in the kitchen cooking they heard the door in a bedroom that leads to the outside of the house slam.  Upon hearing sound they went to check, and the intruder jumping over the stairs that lead to the lower floor of the apartments.. The scene was processed for evidence, the investigation continues.
     
    Burglary: Police is investigating a report of Burglary in the Bird Rock area.  The V/C reported that the home was secured about 1.00am on November 05, and they awoke about 3.55am noticed that a cellphone valued at $2500.00 was missing. The scene was processed, the investigation continues
     
    Traffic Accident: There were one (16) traffic accidents on the federation’s roadways in during the period of this report.  One person suffered injuries in one of the incidents.

    Citizen Safety:  Police continue to conduct stop and searches, vehicular check points, searches of ferry terminals and marinas and mobile patrols around the Federation.  These are being done in efforts to remove illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities. Over 25 such engagements occurred over the weekend.
