Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 10, 2016 (RSCNPF): A Joint Operation by the Anti-Drug Unit, the Special Services Unit (SSU) and Her Majesty's Customs and Excise Department netted one (1) kilo of Cocaine on Tuesday (November 08) on St. Kitts.
The illegal drugs were seized from a person who arrived at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport and was scheduled to remain in the Federation for a few days. A search warrant executed on the room of the establishment at which she stayed uncovered the contraband hidden in a secret compartment in the suitcase which she arrived with.
The visitor is in custody and is assisting with the investigation.
