By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A family residing in a particular house at Brighton was reportedly more than startled when it was shot at earlier today (Nov. 11). Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.

SKNVibes understands that the incident occurred sometime between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. when a gunman(men) opened fire in the area, striking the house in the process.

Reportedly, a vehicle which was parked in vicinity of the home was also damaged during the incident.

The house is said to be the residence of a former police officer.

Different units of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, including the Crime Scene Unit and members of the Cayon Police Station, were summoned to the scene and conducted investigations.

The Police Force continues to appeal to individuals who may have seen or who may have information about this and other incidents to pass on the information to the authorities.

The information bearer can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) or the nearest police station.

In the absence of that, these individuals can make personal contact with a police officer whom they trust and pass on the information.

As was admonished previously by the Commissioner of Police, if you see something, say something.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
