BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE 2016 edition of the Inception Fete will be one of the biggest to be held, according to the Inception Committee, as they have lined up some of the Federation’s favourite artistes and bands.

Launched last evening (Nov. 11) to a packed Jam Rock Restaurant under the theme ‘Up Like 7!’, the Johnny Walker Black Inception Fete will be celebrating its seventh year and a number of local artistes are expected to perform.

With Johnny Walker as their title sponsor this year, the Committee served up rum with coconut water as the hundreds that turned out were treated to an evening of entertainment.

This year’s line-up will be headed by Jamaican dancehall superstar Alkaline, whose hits include ‘Champion Boy’, ‘Spoil You’ and ‘How it Feel’.

Additionally, the Committee is returning the Original Burning Flames to the Federation for the 12-hour part, after they wowed the crowd at this year’s Music Festival.

Popular Trinidadian DJ Lord Hype will spin the console along with local DJs Sham, Wet Dut and EK and his Real Right Entertainment sound system.

They will be supported by other sound systems such as the Extasy Sound, Unstoppable Sound, Hellfire and Sister Sensia.

Nu Vybes Band International, Small Axe Band and Grand Masters will also be performing at the event.

For this year, the Committee indicated that they would be giving away $7,000 during the course of the event, which is slated for December 30 at the Old Fort Thomas Hotel.

According to Committee Chairman Anthony Johnson, over the years, the event has revolutionized all-inclusive fetes in St. Kitts and Nevis.

“When we first started this event, the St. Kitts-Nevis Carnival did not have an all inclusive event. In fact, it did not have any fete at all, so we are the leaders in the feting industry in St. Kitts and Nevis.”

The Inception Fete is an all-night party where patrons are given a cup to refill their drinks and party until the following afternoon.
