Two men shot in Bladens

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – DESPITE the many pleas to "put down the gun" and the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s efforts in ensuring "Citizen Safety" as promised by the High Command, criminal elements continue to violate the laws of the land.

The most recent violation occurred today (Nov. 19) with the shooting of two men in Bladen’s.

According to a police communiqué, 56-year-old Glenroy Pemberton and Abraham Wilkes, 35, were shot at about 1:25 p.m. by an unknown assailant while they were on the premises of Auto Etc, which is owned by Pemberton.

Both men, according to the communiqué, were taken for treatment at the JNF General Hospital.

This publication understands that the wounds are non-life-threatening as Pemberton's thigh was grazed by a bullet and Wilkes is suffering injuries to his buttocks and one of his legs.

It also stated that the scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit and investigations are being conducted by members of the Violent Crimes Unit.
