Information reaching this publication, which was confirmed by the police, states that sometime after 3:00 a.m. while a man was at the Ferry Terminal waiting to board a vessel bound for St. Maarten to shop for the Christmas/Carnival Season, two bandits robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money.

This media house understands that the young man was wounded during the robbery and had to be treated at the JNF General Hospital.

According to a police statement, a bystander in the area had observed when the man was being robbed. The public-spirited bystander intervened and the bandits fled the scene but not before depriving the victim of his money.
