BVI, 10 January 2017 - The Government of the Virgin Islands is taking urgent action to assess and address the air quality situation at the Registry of the Supreme Court.

In the interim, measures are being put into effect to ensure continued service to the public. Beginning Friday, January 13 the Registry will hold office hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and this will continue until further notice.

The public may continue to access the Registry of the Supreme Court at Main Street upstairs the old Administration Building for the registration of wills, deeds, and bills of sale, and to file and process apostilles.  Continued service will also be provided for the performance of searches, photocopies and for the clearance of mail dips.

Clients are also asked to note that all court documents are to be filed by 1:30 p.m. and apostilles are to be collected at 10:00 a.m. and at 1:00 p.m. daily. Commissioning of documents will occur between 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. only.

In exceptional situations, arrangements can be made through the Registrar to file an emergency document by contacting the office at (284) 468-5001.

The public’s compliance with the schedule is necessary due to the limitations in space and the need to complete processing of documents off-site.  A further update will be provided.

The Supreme Court regrets any inconvenience which may be caused and thanks all for their full cooperation until regular service resumes.
