Police Press Release 25-01-2017: Report of arrests, convictions and other activities

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, January, 25 2017, (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period January 23th 2017

     

    ARREST AND BAIL: 
    Arrested: Shaquiel Liburd of Conaree was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Malicious Damages committed on January 2rd 2017, Threatening Language 
     
    Arrested: Alston Phillips of Hamilton was arrested, formally charged and caution for Threatening language which occurred on January 18, 2017. 
     
    COURT CONVICTION:-
    In the Matters at the Basseterre High Court Presided over by Justice Trevor Ward QC, the following is reported:
     
    (1) In Criminal case DPP VS Jerome Connor and Jernen Elliott who were indicted for the offence of Robbery, the matter was adjourned to 13 February 2017. 
     
    (2) In the Criminal case DPP VS Vealet Pemberton who was indicted for the offence of Indecent Assault and was found guilty on the 17 January 2017. A social inquiry report was conducted and he was sentenced to four (4) years Hard Labour. 
     
    In the matters at the District (B) Magistrate Court Presided over by Her Honor Ms Donna Harris and Sgt Richards reported: 
    Terrance Marsham of The Alley, Sandy Point who was charged with the offence of Armed with an offensive weapon committed on March 23rd 2016 at Sandy Point was convicted and fined $1000.00 to paid by the March 31st 2017 or if in default serve two (2) months in prison 
     
    OTHER ACTIVITY: 
    House Breaking Larceny: Police is investigating reports of House Breaking and Larceny which occurred at Craddock Road. Inquires revealed that the V/C secured her premise on the January 23, at about 3.00am and upon her return on the same date she discovered a number of household items missing including a sum amount of money.       
     
    Search Warrant Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The Warrants were executed in the following areas: Molineaux Villiage and Upper Shaw Ave
     
    Traffic Accidents: There were two (2) accident on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of this report.         
     
    Community Engagements: Police continue to engage the general public with engagement at schools and in the community. These engagements are done to foster better relationships in the communities we serve.
