By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – INVESTIGATIONS are being made into break-ins which took place at Calypso Bay apartments, from which a number of electronic items were stolen.

Commander for District ‘A’ – which includes Frigate Bay - Superintendent Cromwell Henry, informed this publication that police received reports that the occupants of three apartments in the area had secured their premises before leaving for work on Thursday (Jan. 27) morning. And when they returned, they noticed that something was amiss.

The occupants of two of the apartments returned home during their lunch break while the occupant(s) of the third returned sometime during the evening.

He said in the case of two of the apartments, the perpetrator(s) smashed the glass of the main doors to gain access to the dwelling space. And in the case of the third, the wire mesh was removed from one of the windows and access was gained via that means.

The stolen items include flat screen televisions and a Play Station.

Superintendent Henry said the pilfered items value approximately EC$10,000.

“We are making an appeal to persons who might have seen anything or anyone suspicious in the area to assist the police by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) or the Frigate Bay Police Station at 465-6899.”
