BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WITH the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) National Bank-sponsored Premier Division back in full flow, several teams are in the winner’s circle.

Among the teams collecting full points from the latest round of matches at Warner Park Football Stadium were Fast Cash SPD, Elco Limited St. Peters and Flow 4G Cayon Rockets.

Playing the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday (Jan. 29), Hobson Enterprises Garden Hotspurs edged out S. L. Horsford St. Pauls United 2-nil on the back of a double from Rovan Wigley.

He broke the deadlock in the 77th minute before driving home the final blow in the 90+3 minute of the game that saw them jumping to the top of the table, one point ahead of Flow 4G Cayon Rockets.

In the other game yesterday, Winners Circle Newtown United could only muster a point in their bid to move up the table, after they were held to a nil-nil draw at the feet of SOL Island Auto Conaree in a mid-table clash.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Cayon flexed their muscles when they brushed aside Rams Village Superstars 4-1, at the Warner Park Football Stadium.

Cayon struck first in the 4th minute of the game through Melroy Morton. However, eight minutes later, Kimaree Rogers would find the back of the net to equalize.

But, Morton responded again in the 32nd minute to give his team the edge heading into the halftime break.

Carlos Bertie would ensure that his team walks away with full points when he registered a double in the 60th and 90+3 minute.

In other results: a Sheldon Richards 71st minute goal gave struggling Fast Cash SPD United a much-needed victory when they edged out United Old Road Jets 1-0 while ELCO Limited St. Peter laid down the hammer on Delta Petroleum Sandy Point in a comprehensive 4-0 drubbing.

Dionis Stephens (13th & 29th minute), Shaquille Barzey (15th minute)  and Kyrhon Phillip (63rd minute) were the goal scorers.

Action continues this weekend with more matches in the Premier Division at the Warner Park Football Stadium, the home for all premier league games.
