Minister for Education and Culture with responsibility for sports, Honourable Andrew Fahie, is calling the Territory to support Team BVI at the 2009 Caribbean Basketball Confederation Senior Men’s Tournament at the Multi-purpose Sports Complex.His call came at the end of a two-game winning streak after Team BVI beat teams from Bermuda and Antigua and Barbuda on Tuesday and Wednesday evening, respectively. JOHN’s Parish ended their campaign in the Nevis Cricket Association’s Women’s Community League on a high with their second consecutive victory Tuesday night (June 30) at Grove Park in Charlestown.Following their win over GT United on Monday, St. John’s made light work of St. Paul’s – triumphing by seven wickets in a low-key affair.After the start was delayed by a sharp shower, St. Paul’s could only muster 49 in 11.5 overs.
