TDC is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Accounts Manager at the TDC Insurance Company Limited, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for TDC Insurance Company Limited.
Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
- Managing Accounts Receivables and Payables
- Preparing Financial Statements and producing Budgets according to schedule
- Supporting the Operations Manager with the management of the end of period close off
- Overseeing the management of Pre and Post Credit Controls
- Overseeing the collation and submission of Reinsurance Adjustment Data
- Managing the Accounting functions by setting targets and undertaking performance reviews for all direct reports
Qualifications and Experience
- At minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA, ACCA or other professional accounting designation will be a plus
- At least five (5) years’ experience preparing Financial Statements
- At least five (5) years Supervisory or Managerial experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and particular Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience using Accounting Software
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
- Excellent written and strong communication skills
- Ability to train others on the technical aspects of Accounting
- Methodical in approach, problem solving skills and results oriented
- Demonstrate good judgement and meet deadlines
- Possess leadership capabilities
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Able to work independently and as a part of a team
