Comment: This is a person who truly deserved a bailout, and as others have said it in no way makes what he did acceptable, but the fact that he did it for personal consumption is indicative of the enormous economic challenges that many face around the globe. Hunger can cause many to make some drastic decisions.
Comment: You all complain but return the same politicians to office that you castigate for not doing enough to ensure the country’s citizens safety, and prosperity. When David Dinkins was mayor of New York City and crime started getting out of hand, he was not returned to office. The citizens in St. Kitts are so consumed by politics that they cannot even put aside their differences and come together to rally against crime.
Comment: This escalation of crime and violence can have serious financial implication for the nation. It can cause a further erosion of the already fledging economy, and decimate the already limited resources. We cannot allow our beautiful island to become a place where criminals feel that they can operate with impunity.
Comment: I know the Samuel and Bussue families from Verchilds. I went to Middle Island and Verchilds School with some of the older members. I am glad to hear that they are alright.
Comment: Politicians seem to only be interested in continued feeding from the public pot. The voters need to demand that both sides give concrete evidence of where the revenue is going to come from to implement the programs they are articulating. Sounds like a lot of froth and no morby.
Comment: I cannot see someone living in the US, or the UK getting a ticket to come home and vote, but a Nevision living in St. Kitts, approximately 11 miles away is not allowed to come back and vote. This is Swiss cheese logic to me.
