Regrettably, we announce the death of Albertha Payne, better known as Bertie Payne of Bath Village at the age of 105 years. The sad event took place on Wednesday 27th.
Mrs. Payne is survived by:-
4 Children: Ruby Sylvia Matthews and Muriel Taylor in the U.K., Leonard Payne and Maria Brantley in the USA
3 Adopted Children: Alfred Newton and Gladys, Lauleen Taylor at home;
15 Grand Children: Dale, Grestor, Robert, Steadroy, Belinda and Marilyn in the U.K., Tressie in Canada, Raymond, Jerrett, Trevor, Heather, Ayoune, Bernadette and Lynette in the USA, and Yvette at home;
3 Adopted Grand Children: Aljay, Rochelle and Synovia at home;
28 Great Grand Children; 13 Great, great Grand Children
1 Daughter-in-Law: Lilian Payne in the USA;
Many Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews
Many other relatives and Friends, including James Phillip and family, Johnnie Clarke, Gertrude Ferguson, Jasmine Jones-Weekes, Shanita Jones, Anita Mills, Vera Nisbett, Burton Thompson, The Doctors and Staff of the Flamboyant Nursing Home, the Charlestown Methodist Congregation and the members of the Bath Village Community.
The Funeral Service for the late Albertha Payne, better known as Bertie Payne will be held on Tuesday 10th at the Charlestown Methodist Church and the interment will be at the Bath Cemetery. The body can be viewed at the Church as from 2.30p.m.
