23 players suited up in the Dub Knicks’ blue and orange during the 2018-19 season. Several of those players returned for a second stint. Some were assigned to the team; whether it was a direct assignment from the Knicks or flex assigNBA Sweatpantsnment. 10 of the 23 players competed in 20 or fewer games, but made an impact with the Westchester Knicks.
John Jenkins joined Westchester for a second stint with the hopes of securing another opportunity in the NBA. During his time with the Knicks, he displayed his scoring ability and efficiency. Jenkins is known for his scoring and he displayed that in his time with the team. He had multiple 30-plus point games and is the only Westchester Knick to score 40 points on three separate occasions.
Not only is he a known scorer, but Jenkins made an impact NBA Lawn and Garden Supplieswith his veteran leadership and passing ability, which he displayed during the Winter Showcase. He averaged 24.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals on 43.2 percent from deep.
Jenkins’ last game in Westchester was January 11. He earned a call-up to the Washington Wizards on Jan. 30 then signed with the New York Knicks when his 10-day contract with the Wizards finished.
Buay Tuach started off the season with five points and three rebounds in the team’s season opener against the Maine Red Claws. He played in the first two games then suffered a right foot fracture. He remained mentally focused and he focused on building himself up over those two months.
Tuach remained in contact with the organization during his rehab and he returned to the team in February. He had one of his most productive games against the Wisconsin Herd. The second-year guard recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
Phil Carr spent seven weeks in Westchester and played in 10 suns the valley jersey for sale games during his time with the team. He recorded eight points and three rebounds on 3-of-3 from the field against the Wisconsin Herd on Nov. 23. Carr finished the season with the Canton CharNBA Pajamasge.
Nate Hickman searched for his first opportunity in his professional career after four years at Columbia. He was apart of the Long Island Nets and Delaware Blue Coats’ roster, but didn’t suit up in a game. He joined the Westchester Knicks after Stephen Zimmerman went to compete with the USA Men’s World Cup Qualifying Team in February.
Hickman made a great impression in the organization and finished the season with the Knicks. He had his best game against the Wisconsin Herd where he totaled five points, four rebounds, and three steals.
Tyrius Walker played with the New York Knicks in the 2018 Summer League. He joined the Dub Knicks in late January. His best outing came on Feb. 3 where he recorded eight points, two rebounds, and one steal against the Greensboro Swarm. Walker played in three games after suffering a left foot fracture.
Maverick Rowan had a short stint in Westchester and played in three games with the team. After being waived by Westc devin booker los suns jerseyhester, he spent time with the Austin Spurs and Maine Red Claws.
Kethan Savage started out the season with the Oklahoma City Blue then was claimed by the Knicks in March via the available player pool. He played in the Knicks’ final four games, including the team’s two postseason games. Savage had his best performance in the season finale against the Erie BayHawks where he finished with 13 points, four rebounds, and one steal on 5-of-10 from the field.
Parker Jackson-Cartwright saw about seven minutes (7.2) minutes of action in his two games with the Knicks. Kevin Olekaibe’s fifth season started out with the Long Island Nets and his best game of the season occurred with the Nets. The G League veteran played in one game with the Knicks.
Matthew Fisher-Davis started his rookie season out with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers before joining the Knicks in March.
