Caribbean Cinemas announces reduced prices for first anniversary celebration

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BEGINNING today (Sept. 15), the growing community of film lovers in the Federation will be receiving a special gift in celebration of the Caribbean Cinemas Megaplex 7’s one year anniversary.

On September 23, 2008, Caribbean Cinemas began providing the nation with access to the latest and most popular films, and the company has plans to celebrate the special occasion with its many customers by offering a reduced admission of EC $10 to any movie this and every Tuesday.  

Director of Business Development Shervin White explained that Caribbean Cinemas wanted to do something significant for its customers to mark the momentous event. He said that a 33% reduction in ticket prices is an excellent way to kick off the business’ anniversary. 

“The customer appreciation initiative is designed to give back to the communities that we serve. It has been one year since our official opening, so we wanted to appreciate our loyal customers. This is simply our way of saying thanks,” White told SKNVibes.

Since the official launch of the world-class cinema, the new company has widely broadened the scope of entertainment on the island, and has become a staple in many persons’ lives. According to White, there has been a large increase in film viewers, especially families, students and senior citizens.

“The response has been remarkably good. When we began our service in St. Kitts there was only one cinema, but with our new service people do not have to wait until movies are shown on cable, and they do not have to travel to experience comfortable, world-class entertainment,” he added.

The seven-theatre cinema comfortably seats over 1200, and boasts the latest in cinematic sound and film projection technology. An arcade, birthday party facility and retail outlets complement the world-class standard of Caribbean Cinemas. 

“We have brought the latest movies to the island. In fact, we have launched some of the biggest blockbusters even before they are sometimes viewed in the US,” White stated.

Caribbean Cinemas is expected to grow even further in the years to come, as it plans to introduce more retail outlets and 3-D films in the near future. 

 According to White, the reduced price for Tuesdays will be available for a “limited time only”, and customers are encouraged to take full advantage of the significant savings.
