BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (JANUARY 22ND 2004) – The Royal St. Kitts Marriott Beach Resort at Frigate Bay is the venue for the 2004 Jacuzzi Premium and Sundance Spas Dealers’ Conference.
Some 175 United States dealers of the world’s most recognised and largest selling brand of jetted/whirlpool baths, arrived here Wednesday afternoon aboard an Air Miami jet for the January 21st to 25th conference.
“Dealers, the sellers of the Jacuzzi Premium products from throughout the United States, will be involved in training sessions and will be provided with marketing updates on the latest models,” Director of Marketing, Maggie McNamara told the Communications Unit of the Prime Minister’s Office in an exclusive interview.
Ms. McNamara disclosed that another group of 280 dealers of the company’s Sundance Spas will arrive to stay at the St. Kitts Marriott on January 26th and remain until January 30th.
The dealers from around the world including the United States will participate in training sessions and will be provided updates on the 2004 models.
Asked why St. Kitts chosen to host the conferences, Miss McNamara said: “We did a lot of research; we looked at a lot of places, a lot of destinations. We looked at the Caribbean and we chose St. Kitts because of the Marriott, the people, the beauty of the island and it is peaceful. It is not so commercial.”
McNamara said the visitors went shopping in downtown Basseterre on Thursday, while others went to the beach and participated in other leisure activities. A night out at Dolce Cabana and a visit to the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park are also included in the activities.
She said it is the first time that Jacuzzi/Sundance Spas conferences are being held in the Caribbean. Last year’s conference was held in Mexico.
