Caribbean Cinemas is pleased to announce the ground breaking for their newest multiplex in the Caribbean, to be located at Buckley’s Estate, St. Kitts.

Caribbean Cinemas was founded in Puerto Rico in 1968 and in recent years has opened new multiplex theaters in Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, Trinidad, St. Maarten and St. Lucia and is very excited about bringing their brand of entertainment to St. Kitts.

The new theater will have a game room, 7 auditoriums, 4 of which are stadium seating. All seats will be high back luxury rockers plus the latest in Dolby digital sound and projection equipment and large wall to wall screens will be installed in this new state of the art facility.

Caribbean Cinemas is very committed to customer service and conveniences, including a 250 car parking lot. The building will also have, for leasing, retail store space for allied services to make the experience of going to the movies at the new theater a one stop entertainment destination.

The Total investment of this new Multiplex is estimated at Several Millions (USD). The several acres plot land and 2 houses at Buckley’s were purchased from private persons. The Project is already out for local tendering in which the successful local contractor/firm will be announced shortly.

Finally, construction is to begin early November 2007 and will be completed in an estimated 9 months later. During the construction phase approximately 75 or more jobs will be created and when operation begins there will be 50 or more local jobs available.
