Hey club clubbers it’s your girl Fashionista stepping back in the arena giving you the full hundred on the party scene. Now on Saturday, Sep. 22, Tonic Promotions hosted a dance at Club NV called King a DE Hill VS Queen A De Hill.
Performing for the evening was Nu Vybes Band International a.k.a. the Sugar Band along side the DJ’s for the evening including Yardie, Evolution and the triple ‘S’ Sweet Sister Sensia.
Arriving a bit earlier than usual for parking purposes, I wasn’t at all discouraged with the few patrons that I saw. Since it is customary for Kittitians to arrive at the club scene between 1:30 and 2:00 in the morning.

I don’t know why, because I believe in getting your money worth! But hey I guess it’s more on a factor of waiting till the dance ram so to speak.
DJ Yardie was the first up rocking those who were in the club at the time, with a great selection of old school tunes from Shabba Ranks, Beres and also from different genres of music, bringing a sensual vibe to the club.
I’m quite sure that everyone there enjoyed every single one of his selections, I sure did!
Evolution Sounds was next starting things off with a more mellow reggae conscious vibe blazing up the club with various tracks from off the popular Guardian Angel Rhythm then going right into the usual hype that Evolution Sounds is known for.
Sensia played right after Evolution starting off with a different vibe using a local African Dub Plate intro that had you yearning for her selections, and although she only played for approximately fifteen to twenty minutes we all felt the vibes.
Nu Vybes Band International a.k.a. the Sugar Band, who as we all know have been tearing up St. Kitts with their performances did no different to what they are accustomed of doing as they sounded spectacular.
Nu Vybes were performing most, if not all of there popular chants such as ‘Avocado’ one of my favorite chants and ‘King a De Hill’.
Nu Vybes Band is doing big things lyrically, musically and entertainment wise. For all the struggles that I know this band went through I just have to give props where props are due not to mention I’m a big fan.
And as we all know Carnival right around the corner and they have you anticipating just how much rhythm and lyrics going buss by time J’Ouvert morning come.
I’m pretty sure that they going done the place for Carnival 2007- 2008. But before Carnival arrives I’m telling you this much right now the people cant get enough of the Nu Vybes Band, there will be another dance at Club NV on Saturday, Sep. 29, so make sure you check it out and as we all know it done sell off even before it start Fashionista say so!
