On Saturday night Reggae Superstar Alaine performed her hit single 'No Ordinary Love' off her latest album entitled 'Unknown'. The concert which was put on by New Sound Promotions featured the Shatta Flex Dutty Wine dancers out of Jamaica as well as DJ Andrew D out of New York.

The American-born, Jamaican-raised Alaine described her experience onstage in Nevis as exhilarating and was profuse in her love for the island of Nevis.

"It was a beautiful experience.  I love Nevis, I love Nevis, I love Nevis!  I am in love with the island and I have to come back to the island because it is beautiful.  The crowd was warm and welcoming and it was a nice vibe," she said.  "It was my first time in Nevis and it certainly will not be the last time!  I hope you all send for me again and I will be here!"

She continued: "I think the whole vibe and energy from the crowd was positive.  I felt the heart of the people and I feel that you have a very warm people and everyone has been so welcoming and I felt blessings, the whole performance was a blessing."

In retrospect the 'No Ordinary Love' songstress explained the way in which her career was affected and ultimately propelled by the hit single.

"The day I wrote that song I said several prayers because I realized what it could mean because when Don Corleon called me and said he wanted to voice me I realized that it would be a big deal," she said.  "When I wrote the song I felt it was special but then after when I heard people coming back to me and telling me things like, 'Alaine that song is making me fall in love again!', 'Your song makes me believe in love.' or 'It helps me to think that I have a bad relationship but now I know I can still find an extraordinary love.' I really started to think 'Wow that's huge!'

"Big up Nevis!  Thank you for your love and hospitality.  I will be back and this is not the last time.  Nuff blessings to all the people who came out& "For you I will sacrifice for all my life, you and me will be together for better or for worse -  I vow through ups and downs here and now I will forever sacrifice&"
