Thieves break into COURTS’ Bay Road building

By: Stanford Conway, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - EMPLOYEES of the Bay Road Branch of COURTS St. Kitts-Nevis Ltd. this morning (Dec. 15) discovered the building broken into and a number of items missing.

Reports reaching SKNVibes state that on arrival at work this morning, some employees of COURTS discovered that someone or a group of persons had entered the building and removed two car receivers (radios) – one Sony and the other Jensen – and one laptop computer from the lower floor as well as a Christmas tree from the top floor.

On arrival at the business entity, this media house noticed a number of officers from the Crime Scene Department processing the scene, and learned that the perpetrator(s) may have entered the building from a window on the second floor west of RAMs Supermarket.

It is believed that after gaining entry into the building, the bandit(s) did not close the window but proceeded to remove the items and made their escape through a door on the top floor which leads to Liverpool Row.

This media house also learned that the robbery had occurred sometime after closing hours yesterday afternoon and before the first employee arrived at work after 7:00 this morning.

A police source said investigations into this matter are ongoing.
