ROAD TOWN, Tortola- A number of persons are being sought after US $15,000 in cash and checks were stolen from the New Life Baptist Church in Duffs Bottom late Sunday night (Feb. 15).

The money was reportedly stolen from the New Life Day Care and Learning Centre and were discovered missing by employees who reported for work early yesterday.

The perpetrator(s) allegedly gained entry to the day care facility, which is located in a side building of the New Life Baptist Church, by breaking in and climbing through a glass window.

It is reported that no other items apart from the money were stolen from the facility, and no arrests have been made in the case at this time.

Police officials did however state their concern over the recent string of burglaries that have plagued the Territory over the past two weeks.

Coldwell Bank Real Estate Company, Chad's Ice Cream Parlour and an unnamed business in Hannahs have all been robbed for undisclosed amounts of cash during that time, though Police have not stated if they believe the incidents to be related.
