Accident closes Nevis Main Road

By: Donovan Matthews, SKNVibes

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – THE Nevis Main Road, between the Bath Hotel and the round-about near Rams, was closed for more than two hours following a vehicular accident on Saturday.

Officers attached to the Traffic Department responded to an emergency call at approximately 12:20 p.m. and found two vehicles TA 97, driven by Fitzroy “Teach” Williams, and PA 4930 whose driver was unidentified, parked in the road in the vicinity of Island Tyre and Hardware.

Both vehicles suffered external damage with the white Mitsubishi RVR (PA 4930) having the worse of the exchange.

The RVR was heading into town while the Chevrolet bus was traveling in the opposite direction when the accident occurred.  A police officer on the scene told SKNVibes.com that there no serious injuries to any of the occupants.
