BVI Music Festival ready to roll!

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes

ROAD TOWN, Tortola – THE annual British Virgin Islands (BVI) Music Festival is almost good to go and will be held from May 22 to 24 under the theme “Where the sounds of music meet the sounds of nature”.

Although there was some controversy surrounding the venue, in which the former Chairman of the Music Festival Committee was of the view that it should be changed, the event will still be hosted at the Cane Garden Bay.

According to a release coming out of BVI, they are inviting music lovers to dance to the beat of genuine Caribbean tunes from both local and international artistes.

This year’s lineup will include Busy Signal, Peter Ram, Tanya Stephens, Soca Zone, The Drifters, Ricky T, Serani, Jamesy P, Sizzla.

In the past, the BVI Music Festival had featured legends such as Jimmy Cliff and Gregory Isaac, and according to President of the Committee Daniel Cline, through careful and precise planning, the Committee has worked hard to make this an excellent show and one to remember.

The Music Festival fee will be US$20 per night or US$50 for a three-day pass while pre-ticket sales will be held on May 15 and 16.
